Puerto993— IMAP over TLS
El puerto 993 permite acceder al buzón por IMAP con TLS implícito. Sirve para leer y sincronizar correo, no para enviarlo por SMTP.
Registry assignments, software defaults and local listeners are different things. A port number alone does not identify or secure a service.
Configuration and troubleshooting
Compruebe que IMAP esté habilitado, que el certificado coincida con el nombre del servidor y que el cliente use TLS implícito. Después revise la autenticación y la política de acceso al buzón.
Important limitations
Cambiar de puerto no corrige credenciales incorrectas ni permisos del buzón. No desactive TLS para eludir un error de certificado.
